Fort Lauderdale
I can’t begin to describe how nice it is to go from St. Paul, MN to Fort Lauderdale, FL in January.
I am currently sitting on a 6th-floor patio overlooking the beach. Anyone in MN at the moment, check out this recording I just made.

Whatever. The snow/ice on the roads is melting here today. I pondered taking my bicycle out for a spin. F*** Fort Lauderdale. People there might have gone for a bike ride today, but there’s no way they appreciated it even half as much as I appreciated the possibility of bicycling this fine January 26.

Hah — it has been in the 70s here, which the locals consider to be chilly. So they definitely don’t appreciate it in the same way.
70 degrees seems positively tropical to me.
