Stephen Colbert is going to do a spinoff of The Daily Show. The Colbert Report. It’s gonna make fun of all those personality shows on cable news. You know, Hannity, etc.

Awesome. And check this quote:

“We’re going to deal with truth on my program,” Mr. Colbert said. “We’re going to catch the world in the headlights of my justice.”

Heh heh.

The analysis, contained in a report titled “MTV Smut Peddlers,” spotted 13 sexual scenes per hour in MTV’s reality series, as well as 32 instance of foul language per hour in its music videos.[link]

Wait wait wait. They show music videos? The last time I saw a music video on MTV was in early 2003 at like 2AM. I think it was a Jennifer Lopez video. I’m sure there were logos popping up, covering 70% of the screen, and a text crawl with flashing letters updating the viewer with important entertainment news, but there was definitely a video in there… somewhere.

Not like I check up on MTV much. For all I know they might be playing videos again.

As for the rest of the article, I can tell that it’s a totally objective report just from the title: MTV Smut Peddlers. </sarcasm>

I’ve become obsessed with “This American Life.”

I was introduced to this show by a coworker. You know how people tell you that you just have to listen or watch this or that? And how you normally ignore that?

Well, I listened to an episode a couple months ago. It wasn’t necessarily by my coworker’s promptings. But somehow, in the last couple weeks, I’ve become hooked.

This is late. Just got back from the bar.
