First of all, I’m feeling even better this morning. Looks like I’ve almost got this thing licked. Still congested, just a lot less.
I shot a skit all by my lonesome this weekend. I wasn’t sure how good it was, but the rest of the Craners seem to like it, and other people I sent it to reacted well. So if you think the last couple weeks have been weak (though, honestly, I like the last two skits), this Friday might redeem us a bit. It’s a little different from our normal kind of skit, but I think people will like it. And it’s got a few inside jokes that at least Chris will get.
Finally, I’m working on an “iPod” feed of the skits. This feed will eventually take over for the regular one. Not for a while though, since we have 40 skits, not counting Bonus. Here’s the thing. The skits will actually be much higher quality than the ones you see on the website. Much better. The reason is because people who view these skits will be watching them in iTunes, on their iPod, or in a program like iPodderX. So it’s safe to assume they’re not trying to watch our skits on a 1995 Pentium II, and we can use modern codecs. Seriously, they look much nicer. Almost DVD quality.
So if anyone out there either has the new iPod, and/or is running a current version of iTunes, or who otherwise knows how to view Podcasted videos (Vodcasts, whatever), let me know. I’ll send you the info on how to subscribe to it. I’ll want to get feedback on it as I work on it. It’ll take a while to get all the skits in there, and you’ll get to relive the magic (ahem) of Flapping Crane at the rate of about 1 skit a day or more for a month or two.
