Povert

It's Pronounced "Pah-vert." You povert.

Videos & Music

Videos

I like to edit video. While I usually do stuff for Flapping Crane and Povert, I do occasionally put other stuff together that belongs on neither site. So they end up here.

  • What is Love? Storyboard

This is a sort of storyboard I put together for Flapping Crane’s first skit, “What is Love?”.

I’m no good at drawing, but you get the idea. I drew the shots on some index cards, scanned them, wrote some music (which was pretty much the same music used in the final skit) and slapped it together into a video. It helped a lot, and I really should do it again. But I’m lazy.

There are, of course, some slight differences. Also there’s a computerized voice-over in this one.

  • The Song is About Baboons

What the crap is this? I don’t know. It’s… just… I dunno. Something.

    Footage is from Archive.org.

The music is from Sonic Youth’s “Justicis Might”. Used without permission.

Music

Here’s some music I’ve put together with GarageBand for Mac OS X. They are all unfinished. I’ll probably replace these as I update them. “Want to Be” may even get some vocals. Maybe.

  • Tricycle

This one is strange. Seriously. It could damage your personality. I may make changes to it at some point, but right now it cracks me up just as it is. Yes, I was totally sober when I gave birth to this monstrosity.

  • Wheat

Put this together over a couple days. Unfinished and a little rough, but I like it.

  • Want to Be

Jason Wyatt and I wrote this song several years ago.

  • The Bubble

This song has been a problem. Jason and I wrote this around the same time as “Want to Be”. We could never come up with lyrics. And I need to rename it.

  • Ashymphony

This is old-school. Composed with Impulse Tracker for DOS sometime around 1998 or so. If you like Evil Dead and Army of Darkness, you may dig this. NOTE: You’ll need a newer version of Quicktime to hear this. If you have iTunes, it will probably work. Or any other program that can play MPEG-4 audio.
